Seperate Notifications for important Mails/specific Folders?

Hello, thanks for the great App, recently bought the Pro Version!

I'm wondering wether it's possible to get separate Notifications for important Mails, or Mails which are receives in a specific (IMAP- ) Folder?


Would be really great if we could set specific Notifications for (a) Folder(s)!
Maybe even with different Sound/Color?

That would be awesome, as I'm missing important Mails every now and then, because my Smart Inbox has a lot of unread/spam messages in it
and I only get few important mails from specific contacts, which are moved to a "Important" IMAP-Folder by Gmail!

There is nothing i can add. Looking also for the same, this would be a great function.

Nevertheless aquamail is the best.

Could be a fine feature in a future filter setting (if xy ... then play sound). ;-)

Right now getting ready to release the current work (swiping and more) as 1.5.0...

The next big milestone is better Exchange support.

But I usually do smaller things "on the side" too.

How would you envision the UI for this?

The important folder in Gmail (just for comparison) is predefined, their app can always know it's there and its meaning.

So, a more general purpose solution - a per-folder option (account options and folders -> folders) for whether it's included in notifications?

Right now all folders that are set to "Sync as incoming" are, and the others are not.

I was just thinking about a folder notification where u can select a specific sound from your phone when an email gets pushed to that folder. The special sound will go off and a new email notification will also appear on top. Something where people can also use the current notification options if they wish. Maybe this can also be under the current folder notifications settings.

What should happen if, during a particular mail check (scheduled - checking the entire account) there are new unread messages in this folder and also in other folders?

What about if there are older unread messages in both?

Has any progress has been made on this feature?  It is very important to me for many of the same reasons already mentioned in previous posts.  Specifically, I need an option to play selective sounds/vibrate as new email gets pushed to specific folders.  I'm not concerned about notifications for older unread mail although that might also be a useful feature.  If it is too difficult to manage notifications independently for each folder, one suggestion might be an option to tag folders as "important" and turn on notifications for any new and/or unread important emails.

I discovered the eNotify application and found that it fulfils this requirement perfectly.  However, I think Aqua Mail would be a much better application if it included these features.

I agree. It's just that there is a long list of things that would "make the app much better".

The current "make the app much better" effort of mine is "proper" two-way calendar sync for Exchange (corporate) accounts.
