Transfer info to new phone
« on: January 14, 2015, 01:14:16 am »
I just purchased a new LG G3 phone and have (2) questions:
1. Can I transfer my paid version
2. Can I retain my settings from the old phone (Samsung G4).

Thank you

Yes to both questions

To install your paid version, use on your LG3 the google account used to purchase AquaMail.

For settings, save/restore on Dropbox. Be sure to select "settings" while saving/restoring. You may need to create a Dropbox account if you don't have one. Worth doing, very efficient to save/restore and share on many devices.

In addition to Paris Geek's suggestion:
Question 2:
(1) How to Backup  AquaMail's settings
> Menu > Backup and restore > Backup > enable option "Back up app settings"
(2) How to Restore AquaMail's settings
> Menu > Backup and Restore > Restore > enable option "Restore app settings"

...you should be connected to Dropbox with a valid account on your device during this process, to be able to see the "Dropbox".

I think "save to Google Drive" should be implemeted too since not every Android user has Dropbox account but every user with Google account automatically gets Google Drive with 15 GB storage.

Also you can export settings to backup file and transfer it manualy to new device and then import settings from backup file.

Do you want to use the latest AquaMail version?
Try AquaMail Updater!

Thank you for all the help.  One more question...
Do I need to install the pro unlocker as well as the app?
