Formatting an e Mail text
« on: December 25, 2014, 11:05:33 am »
Hi,

I need to write quite complex business mails with aqua mail.
Therefore I would like to have formatting features like...

  1)  auto numbering of lines (like this)
            i.e.
                  1.   Xyz
                        1.1.   Abc
                        1.2.  Vielleicht gibt's das
                  2.   Xyz 2
                    .....

2)   bullets in front of lines
             i. e.
             -    this is an example
             -    this is another example
             -     this is a third example
             ...

  2)  tab-functionality
to shift a marked text to the right
              or to the left.

It would be very kind, if you could soon add these features to this nice Mail program.

Thanks
Jürgen

As just a user, I would like to comment that most of such a feature would rarely be used by me, but I confess that bullet points might be useful. However, primary for me is an email client that works reliably (it does). I think one problem is that we are (most of us) used to Microsoft outlook and the like, which also has the ability to use Word as an editor.
The art is to know where to stop!
I have no idea whether android makes possible the use of an "external editor", but if it did, that may be a way to go, without kostya having to reinvent a "word-like" product.

This was my first request to kostya on this forum.  I I think he has some other important priorities for exchange and threading.  But this is certainly a nice and desirable feature

Could be usable with tablets, for me, also using a phablet, not high priority. I like to attack other messages before that...

I use my phablet (Mate 7,Huawei) instead of a laptop. More than at least 80% of my business mails are sent from my phab. LT is'n necessary any more. Structuring my ideas therefore is extremely essential as most of them are sent to  colleagues in China subsidiary.
Before I worked on a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The stock email program (perhaps integrated in Touchwiz) already had those features. As Huawei's Emui doesn't have formatting features, I am looking for a substitute. Always adding a word attachment to mails isn't a good solution. Thx for writing.

Yes, I understand.

But -- sorry (should I be) -- I have a lot of other things on my to-do, and some of them are more important to a large number of users (and potential users) than this one.
