Showing animations..
« on: December 21, 2014, 05:48:44 pm »
My fellow forum friends...
I have discovered a small negative change in the last updates and would love some help here:
When you receive an animated gif file (as inline pic) it is not moving anymore.Unfortunately I wasn't good enough aware of this change so I didn't notice in which version this went wrong. So my question is if there is anyone that is using any versions older than v1.5.1.7, that PLEASE could check if it is showing the animations of the file (gif file).
If you happens to not having any gif files on your device, I'll attach one in this post for you to check.
I would really apreciate if anyone could check.
Thanx in advance.

Julio:
I'm testing this with your attached gif file and version 1.5.1.9.3 is pretty working. Embedded gif is animated.  :-)

Oh my god I feel stupid, soooo sorry.... :o
If I  "touch and slide up" the email once and the animation start...
But as an excuse, before the "slide" function was added it showed once you opened the email...wonder if there is a way to disable the "slide up" function??

No problem
However for me it's working even without "touch and slide up"... just open the email and the animation starts.
... mmh.

Except there is no "slide up function" (if it means something I intentionally added into the app).

I don't have any real devices with Android 4.2 -- but just tried it in the emulator ("pure" Android 4.2)... Worked fine.

I'm lost and confused.

I get what you wrote, just saying that a) there was no intentional change here (what you called "a new feature) and b) I'm unable to reproduce on a 4.2 "device" (Android emulator).
