Sounds like whatever server settings you have -- don't work (can't work) when the device is connected to WiFi.
This is outside Aqua's control -- whatever you've configured, and whatever your WiFi network is blocking...
One common thing is the outgoing server being configured to use port 25.
Port 25 is often blocked by home / office / public networks, for security reasons (real or imaginary).
And if it's blocked, well, that just can't possibly work, can it?
Please check / inquire if your *mail provider* (mail server) has other ways to connect (connection settings). Quite common: port 465 + SSL encryption, and usually not blocked.
Since you didn't mention anything about your mail service or mail server settings, that's all I could do (guess).
