Repy To A Message

I am a complete newbie both to Android and to Aqua Mail so please forgive me for asking what is probably a very basic question.

When you open a message there is a row of icons along the bottom and I would like to understand what the functions of these are in regard to dealing with the message.

Starting from the left the first is obviously to delete the message but I'm not clear on what the next two are as they seem to do exactly the same thing which at a guess is to reply to the message.  The next icon I think is to forward the message. However, when you hit the final icon this opens up a menu with two reply options "as new" and "clean" and again I'm not sure what the differentiation is plus there are a further two forward options.

If someone could explain for me in simple terms the function of the various icons I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for this - much appreciated. I think I now understand the menu options for reply clean, new etc.

However, I'm still not clear on what the difference between the second and third buttons from the left is - they both seem to do the same thing.

Also I've played about with the customise buttons menu but all I seem to be able to achieve is the addition of an extra button which seems to check for mail - the function of the other buttons seems to remain the same.

I should mention that I am running the free, not the Pro version, in case that makes a difference.

Some further clarification for my thick head would be welcome.

On what the various buttons (icons) mean:

You know "tooltips" in Windows, how you can hover the mouse over an icon, and a small help "bubble" comes up?

In Android -- to show an icon's help bubble -- long press an icon. Works in all apps, standard "building block" of Android interface.
