Server search on 4.1.2

Hi folks,
long time that I did not post here, but now I have a little problem. Everything is working well on my Moto X, but I installed yesterday AquaMail on my new Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 which is still running 4.1.2. Will be updated soon.

Problem : Server side search is not working. Only searches local.
I also did not find a configuration for that. Am I missing something?

I am searching for example in the inbox of Gmail IMAP.

By the way. Galaxy Note 10.1 is a Wifi only tablet.
Perhaps this is a hint?

When you search in a folder, the app will show local search results and then search the server for some limited number of messages. To make search go back in time -- scroll the results to the bottom, tap "Search for next N messages".

To my knowledge, there should be no difference wrt. Android version. Please keep me posted.

Well, I tried everything waited and waited....  It's working perfect on my Moto X.
Not searching on server. It may have to do that this Galaxy Note has no data connection, only wifi.

Connection type should not matter either. Are you sure it's an IMAP account? Would you like to capture a debug log?

Here we go, made several searches, marking a folder, without marking a folder, marking an account, etc.

Every search in your log is the same type -- "search all loaded messages without searching the server" -- they're all initiated from the account list.

Since it's a tablet, you need to use the search icon located in the icon bar below the message list (when viewing account list / message list) -- or the icon located in the to bar (when viewing message list / message).

The prompt in the search input field will say "search folder" not "search all loaded".

It might be confusing to have two search icons, but they really do work differently....
