Correct.
On 5.0, Aqua uses the built-in Material theme -- you can tell by the ripples and checkboxes and dialogs and popup menus.
And some additional code to add MOOOAAAR RIPPLE EFFECTS in a few places (e.g. per-account refresh icon, toggling a message's selection state using the contact image, toggling a message's star state in message list and message view).
