Only notification for each incoming mail.

Hi.

I am having notifications from AquaMail sent to a smartwatch which works fine. However, I keep getting these notifications saying I have a certain amount of messages in each of my accounts in addition to normal notifications for watch incoming mail. Is there a way to set notifications so I'm only notified for each incoming mail and not get these "summaries" telling me how many unread messages I have in each account?

What is the watch? Android Wear compatible?

Which AquaMail version? 1.5.1 has special stuff for Android Wear - get it here on the forum if you're not seeing the update in Play yet.

If it's not Android Wear, then the notifications are mirrored from the main device (phone), and it's the watch manufacturer's software doing it.

In any case, the default logic for notifications in Aqua is "about all unread messages, old and new". You can change it to "just truly new unread messages" in app settings -> message notifications.

I am using per account notification settings so I can have a different sound for each account. I can not find a way only get notification for new messages in the per account notification settings. Is it not possible to combine notification only for new messages with per account notifications?

It is possible -- it's just that the "all unread" vs "truly new" is not per-account, rather, it's a global "either or" for how the app handles all accounts.

Thanks. Sorry for not completely getting this. How do I set the global notification settings so that I can use a special sound for each account and only get notification of new mails? Do I enable global notifications set  "New Undread Messages". select no sound and leave all the other check boxes unchecked, or?

The global setting -- "notify about" -- applies to what the app notifies about, now how. Whether it notifies about all unread, or truly new messages.

Now for per-account sounds -- this is completely independent of the above. If you'd like a different sound for a particular account then that account's special settings.

You will note that per-account "special settings" do *not* have the "notify about" setting, because "notify about" is app-global and cannot be changed per-account.
