Notification: `Turn screen on' - doesn't alway work

Hi,

I may have mis-configured something with AquaMail.  I have five email accounts.  At one time, I had my screen turn on as part of being notified (I have sound and vibration set up).  I turned it off but then I thought I'd like to have it on again.  While it's switched on at the Global App Setting (and per account, notifications are unchecked), the screen some times comes on, but mostly doesn't.  Sound and vibration still work.

Do I have to set/unset some other switch?

No, that should be the only switch you need. I'll check it out.

What is your device and Android version, by the way?

Was the screen coming on reliably before you turned it off?

Hi Kostya,

I have a Samsung Galaxy Exhibit 4G SGH-T679.  It's running Android version 2.3.6

I am running a custom ROM:  RebelROM.  I have version 3.07, overlaid (as instructed on the XDA forum) with 3.1

As for the question whether it worked consistently.  I can't properly recall.  I started with one of my non-Gmail accounts (using the Free version).  When I upgraded to the Pro, I moved all my accounts:  non-Gmail and Gmail accounts.  And well, I can't recall whether it worked consistently or not ... .... a sign of getting older!
