Hiding folders
« on: January 10, 2013, 08:54:47 pm »
Kostya,

This one came from my better half who I'm trying to convince to buy a Pro license for her Nexus 7.

Is there any chance of marking some folders as 'hidden' and have the ability to hide or show them from the main window.

So, for example, perhaps I have some folders like this:

Current/Social
Current/Software
Current/Work
Archive/Social
Archive/Software
Archive/Work

I'd like to have the option of making the last three as hidden folders - folders that still sync etc. but remain hidden until I press the option on the main window to show them. These would be folders that I may sometimes want to refer to or search in but don't form part of my daily life when using the app.

Thoughts?

I've gotten a fair number of requests already for making it possible to access server side folders without them syncing all the time, or being visible on the main screen.

Right now this is not supported.

You mentioned that you'd like those folders to sync -- did you mean with every mail check, or on an as needed basis, perhaps when you open them?

Kostya,

Either a manual sync as currently supported or when in the folder would work for me. Like I say, these would be reference archival folders in my case and wouldn't need to be updated very often, so some forms of manual sync would work fine.

Kostya,

Thinking more on this, perhaps one could have a 'favorites' folder marker and to toggle whether or not to show the favorites in both the main Window or the destination folder dialog (when moving email to another folder).

Thanks!
