Aquamail Folders On My Sd Card/Password Protection??
« on: October 20, 2014, 02:42:29 am »
Hi guys

I've just noticed an aquamail folder on my sd card.

Can someone let me know what this folder is for as I want all of aquamail's data to be stored securely on the phone not the sd card :(

Also is there any sort of encryption or password setting in aquamail like there is in android without having to install a app locker app?

To answer your second question:

The app has a PIN code protection feature.

You can set it up in the app's settings > section "Security", it's almost at the end (where else have you looked for it?) > App access control > PIN code.

The default timeout to ask for the PIN is 15 seconds after you leave the app, this can be adjusted in the same settings section as well, or you can lock down the app from the menu in the account list window.

Aqua stores:

- Message text (both plain text and html) in internal memory, not accessible without rooting

- Attachments are cached on the "memory card", which these days, is not a memory card at all, but is a partition on the same memory chip... but accessible without rooting

- Passwords are stored in internal memory, not accessible without rooting, and also encrypted
