Hello,

I want to tell you that your APP is eeccellente is the best I have found on the store, I have the PRO version ...

I have a problem with an email account.
The other email account ok.
Account on the server, nothing has changed.

This is the problem or bug:

After the penultimate update I have problems exit in email account, the message: "The server does not accept email exit the connection type." Using tablet that has WIFI connection and I connect on different networks WIFI... If I try to send an email from the same account in question, this is the error message: "544 544 5.7.1 relay acess denid" ...

Did you specify an userid and password for your SMTP server?

Depending on the configuration of your SMTP server, sending an email to a domain different then the domain your email address is from is blocked when you are not authenticated with an userid and password. You can test that when you send an email to yourself (or someone else that is an the same server).  That message will most probably get send.

If you send a message to a SMTP server that is addressed to someone on another domain is called relaying.

Example :
Your mail adres is user1@gmail.com and want to send a message to user2@hotmail.com then that is relaying. If you send a message to user3@gmail.com it is not being relayed.

The reason that you have to be authenticated to the SMTP server is that otherwise everyone can use the server to send messages to other mail domains and that can be used to send spam and is called an "open relay". And an open relay is a very big NONO.

I agree with scanno's analysis.

To check:

Long press the account in Aqua -> account setup -> Manual -> Next

You'll be looking at detailed outgoing server settings.

Make sure that "Authentication" is *not* set to "Do not login", and that you see your login / password below.

Since you mention WiFi, please scroll further down and check the WiFi specific server settings, if there.

before the last 2 updates the email was ok.

Yes I'm specify an userid and password for my SMTP server - Authentication "Do not login"
(these settings were so from before the error and everything was ok)


I'm going to scroll down and check the further Top WiFi specific server settings: specific "current network".

The data requested after must remain the same as those in the top page?

I did a test as indicated Scanno:

Send email from name @ domain1.com to info @ domain1.com, send OK
Send email from name @ domain1.com to nome @ anotherdomain.com, send ERROR: "544 544 5.7.1 relay acess denid

(I put spaces around @ because I did not authorize them to send the post external links)

I repeat that for me your app is excellent, for me this is the reason why I want to find the solution.

to understand where is the error I shows step by step how I configured the screen, "Outgoing Mail Server" - (This is the only configuration has worked for some time).

SMTP Server - namesrever.com
Safety connection - no
Port - 25
Auteticazione - do not login


The messag:  "The server does not accept email exit the connection type" appears after pressing "forward" not as an error but as a warning - the "save" button appears regularly...

Where is the error, what should I change?

Based on your original message, this Auteticazione - do not login is what's causing the problem.

You should change it to something else (start with "Choose automatically"),  and enter your login / password, to make the outgoing mail server happy.

I understand the problem ... !!!

If I do authentication, this is the error: "Authentication error. 503 5.5.1 Authentication is not enabled" ...

I have to ask the manager email service to enable authentication on exit?

There is one other solution ...?

The problem may be combined with WIFI connection ...? (My tablet is connected WIFI only).

What e-mail service are you using?

From what I understand from your previous posts is:
- you have this problem when you are using another wifi network then your wifi network at home/work/student complex
- when you are using your wifi network at home/work/student complex it is working with aquamail

If this is the case then the owner of the SMTP server has the server configured that clients from within a specified IP range can relay messages without authenticating.
If you are sending a message when you are on another wifi network, then your IP address is not within the specified IP range and you will not be able to relay.

If it was working before, then the owner of the server has recently changed the server configuration and you should contact him/her to solve your problem.

The owner can do two things:
- add other IP ranges that have rights to relay messages (not preferred and not future proof)
- enable authentication for users

I have the problma with any WIFI network.
If I send email to an address on the same server of my mail sent to the email reaches the recipient.

The service is provided to me by an Italian company that also run my site cineurania.com

I ask the providerto enable authentication for users...

Please ask your mail server administrator / mail service support about authentication (login) requirements.

AquaMail will let you use:

- No authentication (we already know this doesn't work)

- Always authenticate (maybe this will work too)

- Provide entirely separate outgoing mail server settings for WiFi -->

-- Only when connected to a particular WiFi access point

or

-- When connected to any WiFi access point

So it's very flexible, but you need to know what this mail server / service needs.

I doubt that anyone on this forum is familiar with the requirements for your mail server / service. Their support, on the other hand, should know all the details.

With all other accounts everything is ok, your app is the best and I'm recommending it to many colleagues who have different email box ...
