Can't change 'chirp' notification after Android update
« on: August 07, 2014, 05:55:13 pm »
Aquamail PRO version 1.4.0.53.  After Galaxy S3 was updated to 4.4.2, the update automatically changed notifications to the 'chirp'. Went to Aquamail 'Message Notifications-Sound', changed from chirp to 'charming bell', it says 'charming bell', but still get the 'chirp' notification.  The 'charming bell' works on other apps.

Different Android versions have different built-in notification sounds.

To actually make it switch, can you choose an entirely different sound, and then the one you want again?

Also please check *both* application settings, and any per-account override you may have.

For the latter, long press the account -> special settings.

Tks, the chirp was found under Special Settings.
Great app, using it for 2 years.
