Inbox no longer showing recent or new messages, help!!!!

I love my app and have been using for a year with never an issue until yesterday.  I am running
1.4.0.29 for Samsung S2 and if I open the app without prompt and open inbox or smart folder it shows only messages starting in mid June; no recent messages, no new messages.

BUT  if I open it after a new message notification the inbox displays correctly.  When I close the app and reopen it reverts back to showing only older messages.  I have tried sort, tried  unhiding, looked for fixes on this board but I am stumped.  I don't even think I updated, I just opened it and the message display was wrong.  Help please, I use this for my work.  Thank you

* I have installed and reinstalled also I just added the update in play, no change

Is your mail account handled by GoDaddy?

Please contact their support and ask them to "Resync your account", those exact words.

A bit more info:

GoDaddy's IMAP server is a piece of shit that's caused endless issues in countless mail apps over several years.

Don't take my word for it, feel free to Google it.

It's commonly believed that GoDaddy has no interest in fixing it, so they can upsell their users to the more expensive "Premium Exchange" mail account or some such.

Pardon the language, but this is really bordering on fraud.

Yes it is and thank you thank you thank you.  I will contact them immediately and will be recommending that our officers who have email issues buy the Aqua pro version.
