Search Filtering
« on: May 21, 2014, 07:50:52 am »
All,

I was wondering how to filter search results. What I am trying to accomplish when searching in a folder is to be able to only include results that were only sent to a recipient, or received from a sender. Is there a way when searching in my inbox folder to enter a name in a from filter to only include messages received from that sender. Likewise, is there a way when searching in my sent folder to enter a name in a to filter to only include messages sent to that recipient. This seems like one of the most useful and basic of search functions, and I'm hoping I'm just missing the way to utilize this function. I was sitting with my boss last week, and he was showing me his gmail app and how easy it was to accomplish search filtering. We deal with engineering groups that love to hear themselves talk, and to be able to find messages from the senders that actually affect the bottom line is very important to me. Also, my inbox is 300+ emails a day and my total contact list is 1000+. I really hope this is somewhere in the Aquamail app and I am just missing it. If not I will be sending request after request until it is added to the code. Can anyone provide some insight? Thanks in advance.

Right now it's just a search for "matching text" anywhere (message body, subject, sender, recipient, etc.). Sorry.
