Server mail delete and notification question

Hi there,

I am new and I like Aquamail very much, it is the most beautiful and functional Android mail app I ever used, and I purchased the unlocker, so far everything worked fine, except few minor issue.

I check mail with multiple device and PC, I want to set it up so that when I delete the mail on Aquamail the server copy will be removed as well, I don't know if Aquamail can do that. Further more, I want the notification be removed on next mail check when the mail already downloaded and removed by other device. I tried many different mail app but very few can do both the above.

A few thoughts...

- In general, this is best done by using IMAP on all devices. You'll get message state sync (read/unread, starred).

With POP3:

- The setting in AquaMail to remove from the app those messages that were deleted on the server is off by default (to match desktop mail apps). You can enable it by long pressing the account -> options and folders -> account options -> "Remove Deleted"

- Since POP3 does not provide access to server side Deleted folder, moving messages to Deleted in AquaMail for such accounts is only reflected on the device, not on the server. You'll need to purge Deleted to cause its messages to be deleted from the server. This can be done by either of: 1) long pressing Deleted in the account list and choosing Delete all 2) Menu -> Empty local deleted in the account list 3) settings -> Mail, other -> enabling "Purge Deleted on exit"

- Since POP3 also does not provide message state sync (read/unread), messages marked read on one device won't update as such on other devices.
