Office 365 Account Setup Trouble
« on: January 18, 2014, 07:02:32 pm »
Hi,

I've just set up with office 365 and have eveything working on my desktop machine using outlook.

I've tried setting up my 365 email using automatic EWS setup, but I get the 'error connecting' message.

If I set up the account manually and use the outlook.office365.com server name I can receive my email, but not send.  Should this work in the demo version, or do I need to upgrade to pro.  I do want to buy the pro version but I need it to work with Office 365.

Thanks,

Pete

Looks like I found the solution to this, which I thought I'd share in case others come across the same issue.

During the Office 365 setup wizard (Microsoft, not AquaMail) I didn't have my host IP address, so just entered the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN).  The wizard suggested this would be sufficient, but for me this was not the case.

Having manually added an A record in the Office 365 domain settings with a hostname of @ and my host server's IP address, AquaMail send is now working as well as receive.
