cache web content (images) embedded in html messages?
« on: October 21, 2013, 09:13:25 pm »
Best email app- you've done an incredible amount of work on this!

Almost hate to ask for more but I think this would be very useful to many users:
AM has settings to automatically download attachments (I.e. cache locally) but I'm always wishing embedded images linked by html could be downloaded also. There are always coupons or sales flyers that aren't available without an active data connection.  The text is there but no web content; and frankly speaking does it need to be downloaded 15 times if I open the message 15 times?. Of course this would be optional none/images/all .

Note: I'm using IMAP; so this would be like "make available offline"

Thanks again for all the hard work!

Thank you for your kind words.

There is a setting in the message view section to try and cache linked images. The app does not do it itself, rather asks the Android HTML component to do it.

There is no preloading of linked images for true offline viewing, sorry.
