Unread Bubble for LG G2

I really liked the unread bubble for Nova and Apex. Could you get that same thing to work for whatever LG is using as the Home?  LG has unread for their email and for their message app.

If LG's is proprietary, can you make your unread widget look like it does for Apex and Nova?  The way your unread widget looks is nothing like the icon for your app, and is unfortunately not very attractive.

Yes, I know the design looks a bit dated, just not very good with this graphics stuff and not sure where to turn for help.

I would add support for LG if they provided info on how to do this from a third party app.

Seems like all Android manufacturers have this feature now, or almost all (Samsung, HTC, Sony, LG) but there is still no standard documented way to do it, and I'm not seeing any manufacturer-specific info either.

But hey, HTC documented how an app can work with Beats Audio (or is it Beats™ Audio®, pardon my ignorance?).
