I guess your version is from PayPro, correct?
Tap the "later" button in the update popup to make it go away for 24 hours.
I'm not *forcing* anyone to update, but doesn't everyone want running "latest and greatest" these days?
PS -- Does the word "asinine" comes from "ass"?
If so, which one, the animal or the body part?
Please enlighten.
From the animal. Originally from latin. Like an ass.
Ass is only a body part in 'american' English, and in those places whose english is based on american english. Numerically more than British English speakers. It probably migrated back to Europe recently via pop culture.
The British English for the body part is probably from German (OK, Anglo Saxon) and is "arse''. Cf. German "Arsch".
English seems to be gradually adopting the american spelling because of its wide use in humour (humor if you must) and popular music, but as an older person, I am slower to adopt such changes!
As I have the pro key anyway, I am not bothered by the popups, but I would probably not be anyway, as I only update when I want to. The status bar at top left on my tablet prompts me when an update or many updates are available. For people with slow connection, or flakey ones away from home, a limited 3g data plan, etc., I think this is a good compromise. I update either just before I put the tablet on the charger, or as I get it off the charger.
BTW, I feel that if a 'free' product has a paid option then a daily reminder that you are not putting bread in the creator's mouth is a very small price to pay. There is in fact no such thing as a free lunch. For many 'free' software products, the real product is ------- you! I am thinking here of search engines, browsers and server-based office soft ware.
