Sync with gmail lasts extremly long

I don´t know if it is a problem with my settings or with my gmail-account (internetconection with WLAN is good enough). When I sync Aqua-Mail-Inbox with gmail it lasts (already since weeks ....) about 40 sec. and more (it should take about 4 - 5 sec.)

My Outlook also syncs very very slowly with gmail but I have no idea if this happens because outlook & imap is still bullshit or there is a problem with my gmail-account (the access with gmail-app on the phone is fast) or aqua-mail causes problems.

The first thing to check is the account's "messages per page" setting.

This is under Options and Folders / Account options if you long press the account in the main window.

The default is 25, meaning the app looks at 25 most recent messages when it checks mail. A value that's much higher than that (say, 250, or 100) will be much slower.

If that's not it, consider capturing the issue in a debug log, as described here under "Creating a log if something doesn’t work right":

I have sent you a log-file. Sync Inbox with Gmail lasts 42 sec. now (changed settings to 25 files ...does this mean that only 25 file will be synced? what about all the others?)

I have changed now some settings to reduce connections to gmail. In my opinion I didn´t have so much (labels in outlook, labels in aqua-mail, gsyncit) but it sees that it was enough for Google to throttle all my connections. Right now aqua-mail needs 4 -5 sec to sync. So this is all right now.

I still have the question what the setting "25 per site" means. The rest of the hundred of mails will not be synced?

25 per page means AquaMail only looks at 25 most recent messages per folder when checking mail.

I've never seen this throttling myself, and it's never been reported by any other user.

Hey, even searching the web (in Google) for the exact server message turned up just one discussion. It must be extremely rare.
