Emails reload after WiFi on
« on: September 13, 2013, 01:10:45 am »
Every time I turn Wi-Fi off and then turn it on again, old messages previously deleted from my phone get loaded again.  I am using a POP server, because I like to be able to delete messages from my phone without deleting them from my server.  I shouldn't have to go through them all and delete them again every time I get onto Wi-Fi.

Also, emails that were previously starred, when they reload after Wi-Fi is connected, are reloading as unstarred.

I'm using an LG Nexus.

As for it being related to WiFi -- did you set up the app to sync on WiFi (or mobile) connectivity changes?

This is in app settings, under Mail, Receiving, scroll down to "Check mail on events".

Now about reloading... Can't think of why this would happen right now.

Can you capture the issue with debug logging enabled? Please see this page under "Creating a log if something doesn’t work right".

I will need "session data" in debug log settings enabled.

Thanks for this.  I have sent you the log by email, as you suggested.

Re your reply, I'm  not sure what you meant by "did you set up the app to sync on WiFi (or mobile) connectivity changes?"    In the app settings, under "Mail, Receiving, Scheduled checks"  I have checked "Use WiiFi only, scheduled checks."  That's it.  I don't see a setting for "sync on WiFi connectivity changes."

Also, I should add now that it seems to reload deleted emails no only when I turn off WiFi and turn it back on again, but also when the phone's been recharged, when I changed the debug log settings, and on various other occasions, such as when I go into another app (like messaging) and then come back to Aquamail.
