@MurdocNicalls: POP3 does not provide access to folders. Period.

If another mail app is able to move messages between folders, then it's not using POP3 for that particular server / account.

With IMAP, it's possible to move to Deleted on the server, and my app supports it.

If this account is IMAP, please use the account's Options and Folders, and set the server's Deleted / Trash folder to "Sync with [ Deleted ]" (tap the folder and choose from a popup).

I give up^^. I know that it's not possible. But I can say it does work and it's not IMAP, it's POP3.
And it's not a server-sync of the trash folder (Because that does not work on POP3). It's just a copy of the deleted mail which stays on the phone, respectively the mail on phone just switch to "deleted" and is not just gone if it gets deleted on the phone.
But whatever I give it up, my english is too bad I think too explain what I mean. I just can say it does work on other mail clients. But forget it this is too hard for me xD

But, but -- for POP3, my app has a local, on-device, in-app "Deleted" folder....

And it's the default, so if you've changed it, please:

- Long press the account, choose Options and Folders
- Scroll to "Deleting messages" and choose "Move to Deleted folder first"

This option is known to me. But the problem is, why it's useless for me, the mails are going in to this deleted-folder on the phone, but on the server nothing happens, they remain in the inbox and will be deleted (switching to the "deleted-folder"/trash-folder).

Yes, this is how POP3 works.

Again, POP3 does not provide a way to move messages between server folders.

POP3 is from 1996. Back then, you used one desktop system to check mail, and that was it (if you had email back then, that is).

Let's face it, it's not very good for today's needs. IMAP was supposed to fix that, and it does to some extent, at least for folder access.

I don't talk about a "real" server trash folder sync. I can say it works on the standard email app, not on yours (or i don't know how).
One last try: the inbox on phone and server are identical always, but the trash/deleted folder on the server and phone are NOT identical, because this does not work with POP3 (right?).
If i delete a mail on the server, at the next AquaMail-Sync the mail is just gone from the inbox and not switching too trash folder.
Until now everything is how should be, now we get to that what i want and how it works in the standard e-mail app:

I delete a mail on my phone -> the mail on the server switches to the trash folder AND switch to the trash folder on my phone too.
But this is not a real server folder sync. Because if I delete the mail completly from server (for example with the pc), the mail is in the trash folder right now, so i empty the trash folder, then the mail is gone from server, BUT NOT on my phone. The phone doesn't care about that, the deleted mail stays in the trash folder on my phone. So that means, in the trash folder on phone are ONLY mails which i deleted directly on my phone.

I hope you understand me now, that was my last try. This is too much english for me and it fucks my brain xD

PS: Hopefully someday Hotmail will supports IMAP <_<

Yes, that's right. When you delete a message from a POP3 account in the phone, it remains in the phone's deleted folder AND on the server Inbox until you delete it from there.

Kostya, I think what he wants is that the message is deleted from the POP3 account at the time it's moved to the deleted folder in the phone.

No, he says that the message being removed is "Until now everything is how should be".

What he wants is:

"how it works in the standard e-mail app:

I delete a mail on my phone -> the mail on the server switches to the trash folder AND switch to the trash folder on my phone too
"

Which is of course a server sync (of the message being moved to "trash").

I can only conclude - again - that the other e-mail app does not use POP3.

Maybe it's a server setting that triggers the message to be moved "on-fetch"?

Edit: Nvm, pop3 does not have the functionality you described.
