# new messages on desktop icon?
« on: May 11, 2013, 05:06:43 am »
Gmail, K9, and other email apps I've tried all display the # of new unread messages on the desktop icon.  I find this very useful, but I couldn't find any way to turn it on in AM.  Am I missing something, or is the feature missing?

It depends on which Launcher you are using; I'm using Nova Pro and the icon shows the number of unread emails for AM.

Independent of launcher, you can always use the AquaMail counter widget which will show you the count of new emails, and, optionally, the count of the total number of emails.  It's a 1x1 widget and you can choose from five lovely colors (though I wish another black/white color were added for those of us using monochromatic themes).

Hope this helps.

Um.  I have no idea what Launcher I'm using.  :D  Whatever is default in a Moto RAZR M.  Circle widgets &etc.

Is the counter widget a separate app?  I only see AM, the AM key, and the SmartWatch app.
