I though he left AM due to health issues. Seems to back inte game again that is always good of course.

Wouldn't go for a cloud-based app like that though.

How do I... / Re: How do I change the language?

Many of my installed apps allow to change the language. And that is a good thing.

Correct. I also have plenty of apps that has language selection, so this Google limitation seems to be fake.

@mikeone Many of my installed apps allow to change the language. And that is a good thing.

It is also helpful in this forum to discuss menu items in english, which you normally only know in your native language.

You have to change the language in the device’s system settings.

Due to new Google regulations the language can / may only be changed in the system settings.

Why I don't see the same Look and feel view as on your screenshot? How to change a language?

I'm on 1.26-1689 version.

Sure! Totally agree! The point I was trying to make was - when using a cloud based app it's better to use a paid app rather than a free app.

keep your data safe or use a free app

If you want your data safe, then don't use an app like Sugar Mail which gets your credential data and all of your messages.

There is no need for a cloud based app. No need for server costs. There is no advantage. And there are enough apps which do it better.

When there are servers involved( like in cloud based apps) there are recurring costs like server maintenance, server fees( if on contract, rent etc) so the developer will either charge the user for the costs or sell your data.  There is no other way! It's better to pay ( what normally costs less than a cup of coffee a day) for reliable email service and keep your data safe or use a free app and keep wondering how the developer is meeting their cost and making a few cents for himself.

Yes, no subscription email app for me or I'd just use the built in.

General Discussion / external sdcard support for backups & attachments storage?
« Last post by pgn on October 14, 2020, 05:27:39 pm »
App storage to external sdcards has been available for awhile; options for Android >= 10 are well documented

  (url) developer.android.com/training/data-storage
  (url) developer.android.com/training/data-storage/app-specific#external
  (url) developer.android.com/training/data-storage/use-cases#write-files-secondary-storage-volumes

LOTS of available apps use such external storage -- whether to an app-specific directory, DocmentStorage, etc.

Current AquaMail _still_ does not appear to; the issue's been raised, and asked about for years.

Attempts to pick any data storagelocation on an external card simply raise an error:

"AquaMail
This folder doesn't allow the creation of new files.
Please pick another one."

What are the reasons for the continued lack of this support?
What are plans for implementing it?
