Title: Mail Check Not Working?
Post by: steve2526 on April 02, 2013, 02:54:34 pm
Kostya

First - keep up the great work with AquaMail!

I seem to be having a problem with AquaMail not checking for mail in my 3 accounts (Yahoo, Gmail and my school account) while my Galaxy S3 is in "sleep mode".

I've checked all the settings and nothing has changed from when I first installed the program.  Yahoo is set to check every 15 minutes, the other two every half hour.

On what may be a related note - I currently have V 1.2.1 on my phone.  Does AquaMail update automatically through the Play Store, or do I need to install the apk manually?

Please open the device's system settings, then Accounts and Sync, and make sure that the "master switch" that allows apps to sync in the background in "enabled". This is a check box / switch near the top.

Alternatively, you could open my app's settings, switch to extended mode, then scroll to "System setting" under "Synchronization settings" and change it to the last item, "Sync even when Background data is off".

As for updates, Google Play should notify about new versions, and there is a check box there to "update automatically".

Hmm..not finding Sync or the 'master switch' under the system accounts.  It just lists all of my accounts.

I already have the Sync even when background data is off active.

I have a feeling it might be a problem with the ROM I'm running.  Might be time for a new one.
