Title: 1.2.2.51
Post by: Kostya Vasilyev on March 26, 2013, 01:34:46 am
+ Better tracking of "hidden" messages, so they don't come back later.

+ A per-account "Options and Folders" setting for the "Other folders…" item in the account list.

Fixed crashes in "mark all read" and "delete all" (folder operations).

It works for moving messages but it's not clear how to open a folder without having it synchronized, or that is not what this is for?

Hi,

There is a "more folders" item in the folder selection drop down at the top of any folder's message list, same as in stock Email.

In addition, this ("more folders" item) can be enabled for the main window (account list) on a per account basis, under "options and folders". The default is "on" for tablets, "off" for phones.

That is it, but a visual change happens in the divider of accounts when you chose that option. I don't think that's needed. You have the "Other Folders..." at the bottom already.

I believe the thicker dividers are necessary so that each account is more clearly separated from the others.

It's what Gmail does, sort of, except they also have more text there....

But I don't understand why the double standard. If you want a bigger divider then use it if you have other folders enabled or not.
I really don't understand the logic of your explanation.

My logic is consistency with how things were before, without the "more folders..." item.

And my motivation behind that is -

- every time I make even a small change, like move a button a little, or something similar, it seems like someone's unhappy (cf.  your own reaction to send/save buttons being moved to the top).

This leaves me two options:

- Stop making any changes whatsoever, give up on software in general, move to a warm country and become a homeless beggar there

- When adding something new, try to have it work and look like before by default

Does this make more sense now?

No, as it doesn't explain why keep two visual styles for account separation.
In the other case at least there was an understandable explanation of why the buttons up even as I didn't agree.

When the account list has no "more folders..." items, it has the old behavior and the old look.
