Hi everyone,
Aqua Mail 1.36 beta is now available! So here's what we did:
- Optimized for Android 12
- A few optimizations for foldables (per popular user demand)
- Guided Yahoo Login - a step-by-step guide for easy login of Yahoo accounts
- Bug fixes and performance enhancements
Aqua Mail 1.36
Yahoo
- Исправления ошибок и улучшения производительности
This is our third beta build for this release. It includes fixes for a widget issue (tapping the message does not open it; opens inbox instead) and a background crash occuring on Android 12 devices.
To enroll to our Beta Group, please use this link: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/org.kman.AquaMail.
Kind regards,
Martin

Since the beta versions of this latest build background sync is not properly working. Previous versions on Android 12 background sync was working just fine so something's a miss. I have downloaded the version that you said is rolling out to the Play store to see if it's fixed but I thought I better say something.

The stable appears to be working for the time being but I can't guarantee it. It tends to be when my phone has been asleep (over night) that I find the next day I'm not getting synced or notifications.

Hi Chris,
It should not be a widespread issue since other users experiencing problems with sync have reported it fixed after we hotfixed the crashing issues. Sync should, in fact, work better than before we targeted Android 12. Just to be sure, can you please let me know your device model so I can try to find/test using it? As usual, you should also whitelist the app from optimizations/allow the new "alarms & reminders" special permission (it is ON by default, only do this if you turned it off specifically first)/check that your notification settings are correct/etc.

Looks like the issue is only with the first two betas. I haven't had the issues since I manually downloaded the stable that's being rolled out. I just figured if I saw something I should say something.

Good to know, thanks! We did fix a background crash with the latest build so that must have been it.
