Is there a way to create a shortcut to a specific email or at least an email folder

There is a widget that will display certain inboxes or folder.

Depending on what version of Android if you long press on the shortcut you will get the smart folder, new message, and the first 2 email accounts (I don't know if that can be changed I'm sure someone else in the group may know better than I do.)
