I wish the developers had reacted quickly on this topic.

Although Aquamail is actually a good app, I haven't seen a forum in a long time where Aquamail is recommended as an email app.
reasons:
- Too expensive as pro version compared to other apps.
- Included modules for data tracking in pro version, now even activated. And it happens secretly without information.
A pity. Aquamail is going down more and more.

Decompile app, remove trackers and compile again. Sign it with test key.
After Kostya away aquamail is sucks in developing new feathures.

This is very worrying, and I'm contemplating asking for a refund and moving to a different email client. I should not have to depend on Blokada to stop a paid-for application from contacting tracking sites, especially when we were given an assurance that it would stop doing this.
A number of alternatives to Aquamail have been recommended on the Reddit thread mentioned above.
It's also concerning that the developers either haven't seen this thread, or have chosen not to comment.

Of course a company like Mobisystems cannot have the same enthusiasm as Kostya.
Nevertheless, I still expect from a serious company that employees look at their forum once a work day. A simple sentence such as "Please be patient, we'll check it out" would show that the users are taken seriously.

Of course it would be nicer if you could rely on the development and communication at Aquamail.

I did an internet search on push-api.aqua-mail.com and found that this was in the original Developers build of Aquamail. In an analytics of the app 1.7.1-88 showed using push-api.aqua-mail.com. I'm not sure why or what it's used for but it looks like it might be used to allow pushing of email over IPv6 since my Pi Hole shows that it only uses an IPv6 IP address. Just a guess.
I'm not sure where you are getting the graph.facebook.com traffic as I'm not getting any of that on my Pi Hole even when using Facebook.

The connection to Facebook is tried every time I update my email account.
It doesn't matter if Facebook is used or not. I myself do not use Facebook. You still get an advertising ID there, that's how it works.

Because of this situation, coupled with Mobi's continued lack of response, I am testing FairMail. It's got tons of features - perhaps as many as AM. But for me at least, it's really a struggle to configure the initial email accounts. I'm assuming that it's part of the learning curve and I hope I will feel more and more comfortable with it. Because I'm getting rather fed up with Mobi continuing to stick tracks into almost every release. And then ignoring users' questions as to why the trackers are there and what they do.
Of course Mobi can choose to ignore all its Pro users because they've already taken our money. And if potential Pro users do some research, they'll stay away and AM will go down the tubes.
So I request that Mobi step up to the plate and come clean as to what's going on with the trackers. We got Kostya (and then you) to where you are today. If you show you don't care about us by ignoring this thread, I'll do everything I can to push potential users in a different direction.

@phred I switched to FairEmail a while ago. It is fantastic. The developer is super responsive and if you need help you can email him
Usually he responds within minutes as long as it's not sleep hours in Europe

I am also a pro user and as I said before I can't reproduce the Facebook issue tracking you are getting. As far as the Aquamail API I wouldn't be surprised if it's used to verify that you're using a pro license.

Last time it was "adjust.com".
And always Mobisystems tells, that trackers are disabled in pro version.

Connection to Crashlytics is still active, though having disabled sending of user stats.

The issue was notified here on June 17. The first acknowledgement from MobiSystems was on June 22. Not sure that I'd regard that as especially fast...
