Title: Starred messages and unread

When I place a star on a message its status changes to unread. Why? And can I turn this behaviour off? I've read the message and know its contents, I only want to mark it for later action...
I've searched this forum, but can't find an answer.

I'm not able to recreate that behavior.

Does the issue occur when you mark with a star in the message list or when the message is open.

Hi there. This happens whether I mark the star in the list or when the message is open.

Please check your settings in 'Message view' > 'Mark message as read' > toggle around these options

It could be a coincidence with this option.

Sorry for the dalay in getting back to you. I have removed automatic 'marking as read' as you suggested. The problem still exists.
If I toggle the star it also toggles the read/unread status.
Every time, in both the message list and when the message is open.
Annoying!
