Title: deleting messages from the deleted folder does not delete them from the server
Post by: Cindy62707 on January 10, 2020, 07:39:36 am
When deleting messages, I send them to the deleted folder first.  When I am sure I didn't make any mistakes, I then empty the deleted folder expecting messages then to be deleted from the server at this point.  However, they stay on the server.  How do I get them to delete from the server?  I think they are supposed to be deleting from the server when emptying the deleted folder so that is why I am reporting this as a bug.

I am using Aqua mail on a Samsung Galaxy S9 on a POP3 server.

Thank you,
Cindy

Hi Cindy,

Please check "How can I delete messages in AquaMail without deleting them from the server?" in our FAQ almost at the top:

I have the same issue. Set the option to 'hide in the app, keep in the server', empty deleted items folder and sync. All the deleted items re-appear in the message count although none show up in the message pane.
