Title: Can a fresh settings backup be replaced with a previous backup for recovery?

I did an Aqua Mail backup awhile back and do not recall the password. Now, trying to Restore on the same device, I get a password error at recovery time. If I make a fresh backup on the same phone and replace it with the previous backup, will I be able to recover the settings that way? Thanks.

No, you need the specific password for the previous backup file.
