For the last week all the sudden the aquamail icon isn't showing in the notification area and I am not getting email notifications as new emails
come in. I have not changed anything. I looked around and nothing seems to be set wrong. So not sure what is happening. This started on my HTC 10 with my AOL email I then got a new phone this week and thought that would also resolve whatever was going on but it didnt and it doesnt matter if it's AOL or my GMAIL I am not getting notifications.
I have been using this app for years now havnt changed any settings, never a long term issue like this. Any ideas?

If the phone is a Xiaomi with MIUI please select "Default notification sound" in Aqua Mail settings:

I don't use sound notifications, I just use the standard notification bar one and led. Neither of which is working. I go into the app I have to manually refresh my inbox to get emails. It seems like it's the push option that's not working which is why I'm not getting notifications.

Ok so turns out it was the AOL account, the gmail settings were just wrong but I now have a new question. I am moving everything over to my gmail account permanently and that will be my main account. I cleaned up my inbox on gmail.com but it is not syncing up with aquamail, meaning the emails I deleted on gmail.com are still showing in aquamail..I believe all my settings are correct for this to sync up right.. Any ideas?

I'd say remove the account from Aqua and add it back in...
