Major new feature:
It's now possible to "hide" (remove, disable) the "account list" screen - and the app will start directly into the Inbox (or some other selected folder).
This makes a lot of sense for users with 1-2 accounts.
It's completely optional. Can be turned on / off in app settings -> look and feel.
After updating - the app will prompt if you want to enable the new option.
* not available if using "two panel" layout (tablets, typically).

Большая новость:
Стало возможным отключать (скрывать, убирать) экран со списком учётных записей - программа будет запускаться прямо во Входящие (или другую выбранную папку).
Это проще и удобнее если настроена 1-2 учётные записи.
Выбор за пользователем. Можно включать / отключать в настройках программы - интерфейс.
После обновления - после запуска спросит хотите ли включить или нет.
* недоступно если используется интерфейс из двух панелей (обычно планшеты).

I think, 'Data Storage' is the folder, where data is stored to. The correct translation would be 'Datenspeicher', then.
And 'Den Bildschirm der Kontoliste ausblenden' sounds a bit complicated. Just use 'Kontoliste ausblenden'

Actually it's not just "folder where data stored into" --
-- it's "settings related to data storage" - this includes "backup and restore" and "optimize data storage" (also "data" - related operations).

If you start feeling bored - these are for the "prompt screens" to enable / disable this new feature:
- prompt to hide account list: after upgrading
- prompt to show account list: after adding second account if brand new install (initially it will be hidden)

You mix up a bit active and passive voice. Mostly, passive is used.
I would use for explanation at 'Mail-Datenbank komprimieren' :
'Umfang des Datenspeichers optimieren, indem (übermäßig) alte Daten gelöscht werden.'
For the next topic I would recommend 'Löschen alter Daten aus dem Cache'. Cache is masculine.
