A couple of days ago, mail notifications stopped working on my S7. The settings were all correct in both AquaMail and Android, and hadn't been changed.
(Another strange thing happened with the desktop around the same time - maybe coincidence, maybe not.)
Uninstalling and reinstalling AquaMail restored the notifications.
