Title: Message counter stuck and innacurate

Samsung Galaxy S8+ SM-G955U
HARDWARE VER 1.0
aNDROID 8.0.0
KERNEL 4.4.78

Aqua mail V 1.16.0-1193

No updates show in store.

If I have no new messages the counter is not displayed.
If I have new messages, the counter shows 5 messages, no matter how many I have.
When I launch the application, the correct numbers are displayed for each account.

Many folks reported similar issues.

Or marvel at the number of people reporting same exact issue with other apps (not Aqua Mail):

This is one of the "best" complaints at Samsung's forum:

I'm in the computer business a long time. I kind of figured it was something like this.
