Title: Reply all shouldn't include me!
Post by: rlove on August 28, 2017, 04:12:31 pm
When I choose reply all option I want to send an email to all the recipients in the email I received however the app also adds my address to the send to field meaning I receive my own reply!

The reply all option should not send to my email address only other peoples.

Anyone else know what I'm on about?

While some e-mail programs do have an option to include/exclude yourself from "reply all", I don't think Aquamail has one. At least, I don't remember seeing it, and couldn't find it upon a quick look.

However, I just checked: Aquamail doesn't include my own address in "Reply All".

Check if the way your own e-mail account in Aquamail (and any identities if configured) is (are) set (with regard to the address) exactly to the way as it appears in the address in question.
In my experience, if Aquamail can match any of the addresses to one of "yours", then it will not include that address in "reply all". If there is a difference (no matter how minor), it will assume that it is not your address, and add it to the list of the recepients.

Right.

For example it won't know that "@googlemail.com" is same as "@gmail.com" or similar "special" rules.

There is an exception from the "do not include me" rule - if you do a reply all to a sent message and you CC'd yourself, then the reply will have you on the CC list too (continuing the pattern from the old sent message).
