Title: Notifications not removed when mail marked read in Nougat

Hi all,

since running a Nougat-based ROM, I have a strange issue from time to time: if I mark an email as read, notifications of that email won't disappear. I noticed, that this is happening, when I start a manual sync, enter the unified mail folder and mark the email as read during the sync operation. If syncing has finished, the notifications pop up.

Can this be solved somehow?

Well, you can try app settings -> message notifications -> "notify about" -> "new unread messages".

Other than that, does the sync that you mention get any new messages? Maybe updates the state of some messages from the mail server (messages you'd marked as read somewhere else)?

Also in app settings -> message notifications -> "when the app is open" you may want to set this to off (which is the default).

Thank you, Kostya, for your fast reply. The first option was already set. The second was also set, so I disabled it. Let's see, if that solves the problem... Thanks again!
