Please check AquaMail settings -> message notifications -> "smart watch enhancements" should be enabled.

Other than that:

Do you have the Pebble smart watch app installed?

AquaMail supports the competing Android Wear standard and enables smart watch specific features in its notifications when it sees the Google Android Wear app, or the Pebble app, or the Samsung Gear app installed.

The Pebble app is able to "understand" those Andorid Wear "enhancements" (including per-message action buttons) and show them on Pebble watches.

So a lot here depends on the Pebble app.

Ok

I had enable smart watch enhancements,  the pebble app and Android wear app and all woked good. But now don't work.
With the app CloudMagic now work, But I don't like this app, I prefer Aquamail.
Something solution.

I have a nexus 6p with android 7 and also use a pebble smartwatch. When I first bought aquamail, I could delete emails from my watch but can not any. I have smartwatch enhancements enabled, android wear app, and pebble app installed. I have not changed any settings since downloading the app.

I see that Pebble got updated on September 26, 2016. Is it possible that their recent update has broken something? I see that 2-3 people on Google Play are complaining about very different things that the recent upgrade has broken.

Somewhat less likely, but still possibl: Since both, jcgpsevi and cackhanded have Android 7, I wonder if a recent upgrade to the OS has broken something?

If I had Pebble, I would have contacted their support directly, describing what stopped working after their latest update.

And just to add my $.02 -- I've not made any changes to notifications in general, or Android Wear or Pebble integration in quite some time.

I contacted pebble regarding the issue as well. They said notifications are done by the 3rd party applications. Maybe there is a change in Android 7 that altered something.

Yes, by AquaMail. Which thinks it's talking to Android Wear -- and then it's *Pebble's app* which intercepts those and puts them on *their* watch.

Cloud Magic could have native Pebble support. Or it could not, I don't have any information.

But the Pebble worked fine with AquaMail until recently, and I have not updated the app in Play for some time.

Looks to me that something's been changed by Pebble.

When I have some messages in smart folder, then in pebble I can see the smart folder and I can delete all messages, but when I only have one message in Gmail, for example, then I can't see option of delete. I don't understand.

I also noticed that the delete button will show up when there are multiple emails in a smart folder.

Anyone tried contacting Pebble support to see what they've changed wrt. their Android Wear emulation?

As I wrote above, AquaMail does not have native support for Pebble.

It thinks it's talking to an Android Wear compatible smart watch, and the Pebble app (which was updated recently) takes that and displays the information on their watch.

I was thinking it was something Google changed in Android wear. We both recently updated to Android 7 and then the notification options changed.
Edit. Someone also posted on Reddit with the same issue. Upgraded to Android 7 and lost aquamail actions

Would you mind posting the link to that Reddit post, - in case that would provide some additional information?
Thank you!

Another thing I just found out today, specific to the N, is this:

The LED (in notifications) doesn't work reliably unless there is vibration or sound.

https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=203860

I was able to reproduce, including the "workaround" (enabling vibration) on my Nexus 5X with 7.1

The Gmail app does not flash the LED for me, but it does for someone else (but AquaMail does not do the LED for him).

So in addition to vibration / sound, there appears to be some randomness to this bug (or intentional change?)

Are people with regular android wear devices able to delete emails on Android N? I still feel it has to do with the android N android wear 2.0 updates more than a pebble issue. Aquamail has been the best email app for me up until the last android update.

This is what I found regarding the latest updates

There was one change in N related to action icons.

Personally I consider it a bug or a regression of usability, but who am I to argue with Google'rs?

https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=203146#c8

Basically, on N, when a notification is "about" more than one message --

-- the "delete" (etc) icons on this notification, which would apply to all the messages (in the notification) at once, are now missing.

You now have to swipe down on the initial (group) notification to turn it into a chain of separate "one per message" notifications, then swipe down on those, one by one, to reveal the action icons under each message item.

To me, that's a giant step back. To Google that's apparently a step forward.

Did this ever get resolved?  Same issue here.

It's frustrating, I'm trying to move away from Google and have gone with Fastmail but the choice is:
Fastmail app - only shows one notification (get new mail, the notification overwrites the previous one) but actions appear fine on Pebble
Aquamail - shows multiple notifications, but actions never appear on Pebble (even if the notification is for only one email)
Maildroid - actions work on Pebble but only "reply all" appears on the notification shade on the phone, and for some inexplicable reason they don't have "reply"  (reply-all is bad practice)

Argh!  The temptation to just go back to letting Google spy on everything.
Incidentally Aquamail is the only one so far that isn't doing the Pebble actions :)  The behaviour seems to be the same whether Android Wear support is turned on or off, it's like it has no effect.

I know this worked until Pebble released an update (maybe a month or two ago).

Aqua Mail, as I wrote above, does not have direct "native" support for Pebble watches (and I doubt it ever will).

It is able to add Android Wear enhancements to its notifications, and then the Pebble app is supposed to see that data and present the enhancements (actions) on their watches. This is the part that supposedly started working "not so well" since their update.

Hmm, unfortunately as Pebble is no more, I can't see anything changing at their end.

I understand with Android Wear and other apps integrate with the Pebble with actionable notifications via Android Wear successfully - I don't think many at all interface directly with Pebble since a year or more ago - but it seems to me Aqua is coinciding with some bug somewhere (not necessarily your fault, just manifests itself in your implementation)

Will stick with the somewhat limited native Fastmail client for now as it's nice to have those options, but may well revisit and purchase the pro version of Aqua if anything changes.

You should have a look into this thread

http://www.aqua-mail.com/forum/index.php?topic=4317.msg23654#msg23654

... and the detailed explanation from Kostya in his post here:

http://www.aqua-mail.com/forum/index.php?topic=4215.msg22847#msg22847

The main part of these issues are on Pebble's side:
> How the watch manufacturer's software is working together with 'Enhanced notifications for Android Wear', since there is no direct communication between AquaMail and Pebble.

PS:
As far as I know, AquaMail has an API for third party notification enhancement apps. Unfortunately, right now there is no one out there who has created some sort of "Easy and powerful notification center for your Pebble watch"... at least Pebble isn't using AquaMail's API.

Since pebble will soon be no more, I'm looking for another smartwatch to use. My question is if anyone has an Android 7 phone paired to a smartwatch that has actionable notifications?
