Dear all,
First af all, thank you so much for this apk. It is really good, but I have one doubt. I have just configured an exchange account but I can't sync my contacts.
See the screenshot below:

Thank you in advance.

That's because contacts are still under development
The developer has said in another post that he will be getting onto this soon.

Thank you so much for the quick reply. Do you know any apk to sync just the contacts (exchange account)? I just want to use Aqua mail as email apk
-
Don't know what model you have. I have a Samsung and use the stock exchange app to sync just contacts and calendar, while email is Aquamail.

Is it possible to get the Samsung stock exchange app?
-
Not unless you have Touchwiz.
You should be able to add an exchange account directly from settings > accounts. You can also check if your contacts app lets ypu add an account from within the app.
Else, any exchange client should do. Try the stock email that came with your phone, or look for a free one on the Play Store.

When you go to settings and add an account, is there an option for activesync or exchange?

Yes there is an option, but it doesn't connect to the exchange server. The settings are exactly the same than in Aqua mail, but doesn't work.
I will wait for Mr. Kostya Vasilyev to have this implemented.
Thank you so much

Hi all!
Any update on developing this?

Hi all!
Any update on developing this?
I've been wondering the same... really, REALLY want contacts integration.
-
Yes I know it does. Sorry for the delays, this is important, but I need to complete and fully release the current 1.6.4 first.

Yes I do.

Are you still planning to implement the contacts sync in the apk? Thank you in advance
-
Yes there are still plans for it.
-
Great!! Thank you so much!!

Hi-
New to the forum. This is hugely important for me too. When you do it, can you pls make sure that contacts in the GAL are visible in the app?
Thanks!
-
Re: contacts in the GAL are visible in the app
Sure, via search, just the way they're now "visible" in the app if you search for them.

Hi Kostya,
I know you are busy with the v1.8 UI changes, but I am hoping this gets closer to your "todo" list? Any idea when you may start working on Contacts Management?
Thanks
-
Yes it is much much closer to the top of the list right now than ever before.

Thank you! This is the last and only reason I keep Nine installed. Honestly, it's a race, because Nine does not have IMAP, but does have Exchange contacts. I much prefer the UI for AquaMail, it's much more matured and polished, but, Nine does have nicely integrated Exchange contacts. I would love to drop Nine altogether and devote to AM, but that's the last piece. AM and Nine are the only ones with a pleasing UI which also do not store mails on external servers, which is how I found AM... thanks to CrashDamage (RIP) http://androidforums.com/threads/email-which-apps-keep-it-private.935578/
Please do keep us posted on your plans for Contacts.. I am sure they will be great!

Thanks I'll try. At some point this feature will magically appear first on this forum under "development builds" and yes it will be mentioned in the forum post. I believe there is a way to "subscribe" to new posts in that forum section.
