Title: Animations won't disable?

I've just installed on a new device and set up how I like it. However now I can't disable the UI animations - things like the colour fade after you delete or move a selected email/emails.

This didn't happen in the version I had installed on my previous device (identical model and Android version). Whilst it looks pretty, to me it makes using Aquamail feel slower. I hate waiting for screen animations ;)

Is this a bug or am I missing an option aside from the Animation option in 'Look and feel'?

Using the June 13 build from the Play store.
