How do I delete email addresses that are not relevant anymore from the contact picker list? It is annoying to see old emails no one uses anymore but not the new ones. please help

Please delete them in the phone's Contacts (People) app.

I have some erroneous contacts that appear in the contact picker. I have deleted all references to then from the device's contact app but they still appear when I start to type a name in the contact picker. The biggest problem is when the name is correct but the email address completely wrong. Annoying because I sometimes don't notice until after I send. What can I do? I do not use an exchange account.
Thanks

You should try to change this option:
-> Settings -> Contacts -> fisable "Recent adresses"

I recently I have tried to solve this problem as well. First of all there's no "fisable" option under contacts so I'm not sure what that means. But I don't want to change this feature, I just want to remove a specific email address from recent contacts.
