Hi Kostya,
I don't know if you have heard about this app https://news.samsung.com/global/good-lock-customize-the-way-you-use-your-galaxy-smartphone and I have the apk installed on my phone. Apparently, it's available for download via Galaxy app store. Now, the funny thing is that I'm not getting the sound notifications for emails via aqua mail but can see new emails on the lock screen. However, when I setup the email via the stock email app, it gives me the sound notifications for new emails.
I'd really like to know your views on this and whether I should uninstall the app or is there anything to tweak in aqua mail to get notifications...

Never heard about this app or have any information about how it works.
Since it's recommended by Samsung and your "stock email app" is Samsung's too, there may be a "whitelist", a "special case" or whatever.
I can guarantee that AquaMail is not aware of this or any other "UI lock" type app and does not do anything differently with its notifications if one is installed.

Ok thanks Kostya...please do the app...it's kinda innovative (a first for Samsung!)

Re: please do the app
Sorry what am I supposed to do now?

D-oh...sorry for the type...I meant please do try the app...stupid keyboard...

Don't have any use for it myself, thank you.
Looks like lock screen widgets to me:
... which were part of Android since 4.1 and supported by AquaMail, and then removed by Google from 5.0 and newer.
Now it seems that Samsung's resurrected the concept, maybe with some nice twists, but -- the old lock screen widgets were a standard Android feature, this one is not, so what about apps?
You've already found one compat issue, what do we do now? Report this to Samsung? LOL
