Will it be possible to have Aquamail mail notifications be supported in the new Always On Display of the Samsung S7/S7 Edge?

No idea what this is and I don't own one (and don't plan to) -- however:
The S6 Edge which I do own also had an "Samsung exclusive" feature (the edge display) and someone asked about it back then. I investigated and found that it's really quite limited for third party apps.

Just Googled "Always On" -- really, Samsung should provide a user setting to display information from standard status bar notifications there, this would work without requiring every developer make changes to his/her app.
Or maybe widgets, another standard Android feature (esp. since lock screen widgets were removed in Android 5.0, this would be a good replacement).

At the moment, there is no notification on screen (using Nova Launcher PRO)

Then you need to talk to Samsung.
They have two options:
- User accessible settings to show information from third party apps on this Always On thing, grabbing the info perhaps from status bar notifications or maybe widgets. This would work without app developers having to do more work.
- Provide a way for third party apps to access this feature, in a way that requires mods to the apps. And they should not forget about testing (e.g. I don't own an S7 and don't plan to buy one, and I'm certainly not the only Android app developer out there :) )

Thank you ;)
