@Kostya
Would it be possible to fix the padding in the left panel in the side-by-side view to have to mail count showing...used to be fine in previous versions, but now when the left panel is reduced to the minimum the count disappear and when resizing the panel there is too much waisted space as showed in the included attachments here
(using version 1.6.1.0-dev.5.7)
-
Yes, but by resizing the left panel width to the minimum as shown on the 2nd screenshot above, you can see that the mail counts are gone...to have it back I need to make the panel width wider as shown in the 1st pic ;-)
That's the all point of this post, by resizing the panel I end up losing the mail counts...and by the way the only way to resize the panel is in "look and feel" settings or am I not seeing another setting somewhere else?
-
You mean the thumb control to resize?
-
Ok then there is a bug somewhere as it's not working for me as you see in the above shots?!?
-
I don't get what you mean
-
Would you please try not to sync your folder with a long name to see if this is causing the issue?
By the way what version are you using?
I didn't have this problem on past versions but I don't recall the last working version number anymore
-
problem is still there even with the long folder not synced
-
As far as I can see, there are no Unread messages in DM's folders (screenshot #1) ... opposed to Paris Geek's folders (screenshot #2):
• Boit... tion 4
• Spam 20

Thanks for pointing out the obvious, I didn't realize that before...so the problem is that when resizing the left panel to the minimum, only the unread count shows up...read counts don't then....

Yes, exactly. 8)

So it's a change that was implemented or a bug that was introduced in recent versions then, as I could see the read counts with minimum width panel before...as of now I have to resize to a bigger width to have them appear....
Would be good to have both read and unread showing no matter what the width of the account panel is like it used to be (that's my 2 cents)

Re: Ok then there is a bug somewhere as it's not working for me as you see in the above shots
Not a bug, an intentional change made about a month ago.
On phone sized screens, there is very little room in two panel mode.
When the account list panel gets less wide than a certain size -- it adapts itself to this smaller width, hiding the (less useful) per-folder "total" counts and keeping only the "unread"s.

Ok thanks, you just answered my above post question to know if it was an intentional change or a bug...
I guess I'll have to live with a wider left panel from now on then ;-)

Do you think you could add it as an option in the "look and feel" settings, so we could choose what info to show if it's not too much to ask?
Your call though

Um, as surprising as it may sound -- I actually don't like having *too many* settings (and yes, it's too late already).
I will write it down though... :)

Yes that's funny...no big deal though, all up to you

Kostya, It seems 'we' will need a ompass in the settings to navigate through all these (useful) options... 8)

Or a setting to enable settings.

And you could hide a few easter eggs around while you're at it ;-)

Or, rather, a map. ::)
(one more drop into the online "XML-based map" suggestions bucket) ;)

With an online service to generate the XML map from JSON files submitted by users, authenticated with OAUTH2.
There. A killer startup idea.
