Title: Auto Sync now required for push?
Post by: AndroidUser16 on January 04, 2016, 06:33:59 pm
I have used Aqua Mail for years, but with the recent updates, I have noticed my mail isn't being pushed instantly like it used to be. I see in the settings that "auto-sync" is now required for push. When did this start? I don't have auto sync turned on because it drains the battery quickly. I always liked Aqua Mail because unlike other apps, you didn't have to have the entire device set to auto-sync. Am I missing something?

Hi,
You could turn off "Auto-Sync" if you will get battery drain issues.

Doing this, please check in the app's (general) settings the option:
> go to the Account list view (the app's main window) > Menu button > Settings > Mail, receiving > System settings > enable "Sync even when "Auto-Sync" is off"

In addition to that please make sure that the option "IMAP Push" is enabled (same settings screen)
