Title: Missing messages for today
Post by: mikecallaghan on August 23, 2015, 12:28:27 am
I had a lockup on an HTC One and had to reinstall everything.  Aquamail went in with no problems, but when it went to the server to sync recent messages, it got them all except for the messages for today.  Syncing the phone doesn't capture any of the messages sent today at all.  The mailserver is POP3.  I've tried every setting I can think of, but am not an Aquamail maven, so I'm probably overlooking something simple.  Also, I used to have a "sync circle" appearing at the top of the list of messages, and it's gone now.  What can I do to be able to sync the messages while I'm looking at the Inbox for each account?

Thanks...

Re: "I used to have a "sync circle" appearing at the top of the list of messages, and it's gone now"

I'm guessing your new phone runs Android 5.0 or higher, and the old phone had Android 4.4 or lower.

Re: today's messages.

Please use web mail to make sure they're actually there.

If they are, long press the account (in the account list) -> Diag: message dates -> run the test and send me the log file (the app will prompt you at the end).

The messages are, in fact, on the server and I can retrieve them with Thunderbird on a different machine.
I ran the diagnostic as you suggested and sent you the resulting file.
Thanks
