Title: Exchange calendar sync: Time problem
Post by: DavidK84 on April 14, 2015, 09:50:31 pm
Hello aqua mail users!

First to say: I love your app and I hope that you (the developer) keep on developing it  ;)

My problem is the following: I recently used the Exchange calendar sync in order to synchronize with my office EWS calendar. The sync itself works pretty well. However, all the appointments are shifted back by one hour.
I live in Germany, so maybe it's a problem with the timezone in relation to GMT as we have GMT+1.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue and can give me the solution for it?

Cheers, David

Well, I really did try to handle time zones well (I'm in GMT+03, BTW, so just with that, the app has to recalculate).

So since something is wrong, I'd like to see a debug log.

You'll find instructions at the link below, it's like this:

- Enable logging, be sure to set "output" to "file" and enable "raw session data"

- Use web mail / calendar or Outlook to change some appointment's category (color code) or edit its title / description, or shift its time -- basically make *some* change

- Open a calendar app and do Menu -> Refresh (or Sync, or Syncronize now, whatever it may be called there).

--> If your calendar app doesn't have that, refresh the account (whole account, not just one folder) in AquaMail. This will sync your calendar change as well

- Wait a few minutes (just in case) for sync to complete

- Send me the log file

I recently upgraded to 1.5.5.34 from 1.5.5.19 and since this update some but not all of my meetings shifted forward one hour.  They were showing the correct times on 1.5.5.19, but are wrong now.  For example, for today I should have a meeting at 1PM and another at 2PM, but after upgrading I now have two meetings at 2PM.  When I look at my calendar for today in Outlook Web App, it still shows 1PM and 2PM.

For the record: Eric's issue is fixed now in 1.5.5.35 (not released or posted, probably not needed) and 1.5.7-35-dev4 (posted here on the forum).

Exchange had "yet another" name for Eric's time zone, something I've not seen before, I added a workaround.
